Valley Falls State Park provides its visitors with a selection of activities. Accessible parking, bathrooms, drinking fountain and picnic tables are available.

There are four waterfalls at Valley Falls State Park. Not the biggest falls in West Virginia, but certainly scenic. For guest safety, swimming and wading is not permitted.

Fishing at Valley Falls State Park is a popular. Anglers must possess a WV Fishing License. The tab "WV Fishing/Hunting License" to the left when clicked links to the online license sales through wvdnr.gov.
Picnic areas with picnic tables are on-site.

Swimming and wading in the river is not permitted. Alcohol is also prohibited at Valley Falls (§58-31-2.21).
Kayaks only are permitted to run the falls on the Tygart Valley River at Valley Falls. Registration at the park prior to kayaking is required. (§58-31-2.7).
